| 12 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 13 | - | is amended by adding Section 225. | |

| 12 | + | is amended by adding Section 225.243 to read as follows: | |
| 13 | + | Sec. 225.243. CLARENCE "BB" SASSER MEDAL OF HONOR HIGHWAY. | |
| 15 | 14 | (a) Notwithstanding Section 225.001(c), the portion of | |
| 16 | 15 | Farm-to-Market Road 521 in Brazoria County is designated as the | |
| 17 | 16 | Clarence "BB" Sasser Medal of Honor Highway. | |
| 18 | 17 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | |
| 19 | 18 | (1) design and construct markers indicating the | |
| 20 | 19 | designation as the Clarence "BB" Sasser Medal of Honor Highway and | |
| 21 | 20 | any other appropriate information; and | |
| 22 | 21 | (2) erect a marker at appropriate sites along the | |
| 23 | 22 | highway. | |
| 24 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
