| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. The heading to Section 81.028, Local Government | |
| 13 | 13 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 81.028. DELEGATION OF DUTIES OF [A] COUNTY JUDGE IN | |
| 15 | 15 | CERTAIN COUNTIES [WITH POPULATION OF MORE THAN 1.5 MILLION]. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Section 81.028(a), Local Government Code, is | |
| 17 | 17 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 18 | 18 | (a) This section applies only [exclusively] to a county | |
| 19 | 19 | judge in a county: | |
| 20 | 20 | (1) with a population of more than 1.5 million; or | |
| 21 | 21 | (2) with a population of at least 350,000 and not more | |
| 22 | 22 | than 370,000 that is adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico and adjacent to | |
| 23 | 23 | a county with a population of at least 3.3 million. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 3. The heading to Section 81.029, Local Government | |
| 25 | 25 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
