| 12 | 14 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 15 | | SECTION 1. Article 56B.058(b), Code of Criminal Procedure, |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | (b) An application for compensation under this chapter and |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | any information, document, summary, or other record provided to or |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | received, maintained, or created by the attorney general under this |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | chapter, including a report released to the attorney general under |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | Article 56B.054(f), is: |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | (1) except as provided by Section 552.132(c), |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | Government Code, not subject to disclosure under Chapter 552 of |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | that code; and |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | (2) except as provided by Subsection (c), not subject |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | to disclosure, discovery, subpoena, or other means of legal |
|---|
| 25 | 27 | | compulsion for release. |
|---|
| 26 | 28 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
