| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 58.093, Agriculture Code, is amended to | |
| 12 | 12 | read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | Sec. 58.093. AMOUNT OF GRANTS. A grant under the young | |
| 14 | 14 | farmer grant program may not be less than $10,000 [$5,000] or more | |
| 15 | 15 | than $35,000 [$20,000]. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies to a | |
| 17 | 17 | grant issued on or after the effective date of this Act. A grant | |
| 18 | 18 | issued before the effective date of this Act is governed by the law | |
| 19 | 19 | in effect on the date the grant is issued, and the former law is | |
| 20 | 20 | continued in effect for that purpose. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
