| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 1112.155(a), Special District Local Laws | |
| 13 | 13 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) The board shall select one or more banks [in the | |
| 15 | 15 | district] to serve as a depository for district money. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 17 | 17 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 18 | 18 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 19 | 19 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 20 | 20 | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
