10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 43.031(e), Election Code, is amended to | |
12 | 12 | read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | (e) A polling place may not be located: | |
14 | 14 | (1) on a public primary or secondary school campus; or | |
15 | 15 | (2) at the residence of a person who is: | |
16 | 16 | (A) [(1)] a candidate for an elective office, | |
17 | 17 | including an office of a political party; or | |
18 | 18 | (B) [(2)] related within the third degree by | |
19 | 19 | consanguinity or the second degree by affinity, as determined under | |
20 | 20 | Chapter 573, Government Code, to a candidate described by Paragraph | |
21 | 21 | (A) [Subdivision (1)]. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
