| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 32, Human Resources Code, | |
| 13 | 13 | is amended by adding Section 32.0427 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 32.0427. REIMBURSEMENT FOR CERTAIN CANCER-RELATED | |
| 15 | 15 | TREATMENTS OR ITEMS. The commission shall ensure that medical | |
| 16 | 16 | assistance reimbursement is provided to a health care provider for | |
| 17 | 17 | providing the following treatments or items in relation to cancer | |
| 18 | 18 | treatment: | |
| 19 | 19 | (1) physical therapy; | |
| 20 | 20 | (2) dental services related to the effects of | |
| 21 | 21 | chemotherapy or radiation, including: | |
| 22 | 22 | (A) oral surgery; | |
| 23 | 23 | (B) dental implants; | |
| 24 | 24 | (C) dental veneers; and | |
| 25 | 25 | (D) dentures; | |
| 26 | 26 | (3) compression garments, including: | |
| 27 | 27 | (A) sleeves; | |
| 28 | 28 | (B) gloves; and | |
| 29 | 29 | (C) gauntlets; and | |
| 30 | 30 | (4) mastectomy products, including: | |
| 31 | 31 | (A) shells; | |
| 32 | 32 | (B) shapers; and | |
| 33 | 33 | (C) prostheses. | |
| 34 | 34 | SECTION 2. If before implementing any provision of this Act | |
| 35 | 35 | a state agency determines that any other waiver or authorization | |
| 36 | 36 | from a federal agency is necessary for implementation of that | |
| 37 | 37 | provision, the agency affected by the provision shall request the | |
| 38 | 38 | waiver or authorization and may delay implementing that provision | |
| 39 | 39 | until the waiver or authorization is granted. | |
| 40 | 40 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
