| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 8843.104(a), Special District Local Laws | |
| 14 | 14 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | (a) Groundwater withdrawals from the following wells may | |
| 16 | 16 | not be regulated, permitted, or metered by the district: | |
| 17 | 17 | (1) a well used for domestic use by a single private | |
| 18 | 18 | residential household and incapable of producing more than 25,000 | |
| 19 | 19 | gallons per day; [and] | |
| 20 | 20 | (2) a well used for conventional farming and ranching | |
| 21 | 21 | activities, including such intensive operations as aquaculture, | |
| 22 | 22 | livestock feedlots, or poultry operations; and | |
| 23 | 23 | (3) a public water supply well. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
