| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 1.34(b), Chapter 626, Acts of the 73rd | |
| 12 | 12 | Legislature, Regular Session, 1993, is amended to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (b) Water withdrawn from the aquifer must be used within: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) the boundaries of the authority; or | |
| 15 | 15 | (2) the certificated area of a retail public utility | |
| 16 | 16 | according to a certificate of convenience and necessity, as the | |
| 17 | 17 | certificate existed on September 1, 2025, any part of which was | |
| 18 | 18 | located within the boundaries of the authority on June 28, 1996. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
