| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. The heading to Subchapter H, Chapter 1001, |

| 12 | 12 | | Occupations Code, is amended to read as follows: |

| 13 | 13 | | SUBCHAPTER H. ENGINEERING LICENSE OR REGISTRATION RENEWAL |

| 14 | 14 | | SECTION 2. The heading to Section 1001.351, Occupations |

| 25 | 25 | | SECTION 4. Section 1001.405(d), Occupations Code, is |

| 26 | 26 | | amended to read as follows: |

| 27 | 27 | | (d) The registration of a business entity issued under this |

| 28 | 28 | | section is valid for the term provided by board rule adopted under |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Section 1001.351 and [expires on the first anniversary of the date |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | the registration is issued. The registration] may be renewed by the |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | filing of an updated application under Subsection (c). |

| 32 | 32 | | SECTION 5. As soon as practicable after the effective date |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | of this Act, the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Surveyors shall adopt rules to implement Section 1001.351(a), |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Occupations Code, as amended by this Act. |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | SECTION 6. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
