| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Chapter 209, Property Code, is amended by adding | |
| 13 | 13 | Section 209.00635 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 209.00635. PARTIAL PAYMENT TO ASSOCIATION. A property | |
| 15 | 15 | owners' association is not required to accept partial payment from | |
| 16 | 16 | an owner of any amount owed to the association, unless the partial | |
| 17 | 17 | payment is made to the association under a payment plan or other | |
| 18 | 18 | written agreement the owner enters into with the association under | |
| 19 | 19 | which the association agrees to accept the partial payment from the | |
| 20 | 20 | owner. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
