11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 21.004, Government Code, is amended to | |
13 | 13 | read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 21.004. STATE OF JUDICIARY MESSAGE. (a) At a | |
15 | 15 | convenient time at the commencement of each regular session of the | |
16 | 16 | legislature, the chief justice of the supreme court and the | |
17 | 17 | presiding judge of the court of criminal appeals shall each deliver | |
18 | 18 | a written or oral state of the judiciary message evaluating the | |
19 | 19 | accessibility of the courts to the citizens of the state and the | |
20 | 20 | future directions and needs of the courts of the state. | |
21 | 21 | (b) It is the intent of the legislature that a [the] state of | |
22 | 22 | the judiciary message promote better understanding between the | |
23 | 23 | legislative and judicial branches of government and promote more | |
24 | 24 | efficient administration of justice in Texas. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
