| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 211.019, Local Government Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Subsection (q) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (q) This section does not prohibit a municipality from | |
| 15 | 15 | adopting or enforcing an ordinance, regulation, or other measure | |
| 16 | 16 | that allows a person who resides or owns real property in the | |
| 17 | 17 | municipality to file an application to stop a nonconforming use of a | |
| 18 | 18 | property. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Section 211.019(q), Local Government Code, as | |
| 20 | 20 | added by this Act, applies to an ordinance, regulation, or other | |
| 21 | 21 | measure adopted by a municipality on, before, or after the | |
| 22 | 22 | effective date of this Act. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
