| 12 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 521.121(a), Transportation Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 13 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 14 | | (a) The driver's license must include: |
|---|
| 16 | 15 | | (1) a distinguishing number assigned by the department |
|---|
| 17 | 16 | | to the license holder; |
|---|
| 18 | 17 | | (2) a photograph of the entire face of the holder; |
|---|
| 19 | 18 | | (3) the full name and date of birth of the holder; |
|---|
| 20 | 19 | | (4) a brief description of the holder; [and] |
|---|
| 21 | 20 | | (5) the license holder's residence address or, for a |
|---|
| 22 | 21 | | license holder using the procedure under Subsection (c), the street |
|---|
| 23 | 22 | | address of the courthouse in which the license holder or license |
|---|
| 24 | 23 | | holder's spouse or parent serves as a federal judge, including a |
|---|
| 25 | 24 | | federal bankruptcy judge, a marshal of the United States Marshals |
|---|
| 26 | 25 | | Service, a United States attorney, or a state judge; and |
|---|
| 27 | 26 | | (6) if the holder is a citizen of the United States, an |
|---|
| 28 | 27 | | indication that the holder is a citizen of the United States. |
|---|
| 29 | 28 | | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|---|
| 30 | 29 | | to a driver's license or personal identification certificate issued |
|---|
| 31 | 30 | | or renewed on or after January 1, 2026. |
|---|
| 32 | 31 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
