10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 12.263(b), Education Code, is amended to | |
12 | 12 | read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | (b) For purposes of determining the average daily | |
14 | 14 | attendance of an adult education program operated under a charter | |
15 | 15 | granted under this subchapter, a student is considered to be in | |
16 | 16 | average daily attendance, with a 100 percent attendance rate, for: | |
17 | 17 | (1) all of the instructional days of the school year, | |
18 | 18 | if the student is enrolled for at least 75 percent of the school | |
19 | 19 | year; | |
20 | 20 | (2) three-quarters [half] of the instructional days of | |
21 | 21 | the school year, if the student is enrolled for at least 50 percent | |
22 | 22 | but less than 75 percent of the school year; | |
23 | 23 | (3) half [a quarter] of the instructional days of the | |
24 | 24 | school year, if the student is enrolled for at least 25 percent but | |
25 | 25 | less than 50 percent of the school year; or | |
26 | 26 | (4) a quarter [one-tenth] of the instructional days of | |
27 | 27 | the school year, if the student is enrolled for at least 10 percent | |
28 | 28 | but less than 25 percent of the school year. | |
29 | 29 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
