| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 12, Parks and Wildlife |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Code, is amended by adding Section 12.207 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Sec. 12.207. DONATION TO FUND BY HUNTING OR FISHING LICENSE |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | APPLICANT. (a) An applicant for a hunting or fishing license of |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | any type under this code, including a combination hunting and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fishing license, may make a donation of $1, $5, $10, or $20 to the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | operation game thief fund when applying for the license. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (b) The department shall: |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (1) include space on the first page of each |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | application for a hunting or fishing license that allows an |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | applicant to indicate that the applicant is donating $1, $5, $10, or |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | $20 to the operation game thief fund; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (2) provide an opportunity for an applicant for a |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | hunting or fishing license to donate $1, $5, $10, or $20 to the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | operation game thief fund through the department's Internet |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | website. |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (c) The department shall deposit a donation made under this |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | section in the operation game thief fund not later than the 14th day |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | of each month. Before depositing the money, the department may |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | deduct money equal to the amount of reasonable expenses for |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | developing and administering this section. |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
