| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 388.005(c), Health and Safety Code, is | |

| 14 | 14 | (c) Each political subdivision, institution of higher | |
| 15 | 15 | education, or state agency shall establish a goal to reduce the | |
| 16 | 16 | electric consumption by the entity by at least five percent each | |
| 17 | 17 | state fiscal year for six [seven] years, beginning September 1, | |
| 18 | 18 | 2025 [2019]. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
