| 12 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 22, Education Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | amended by adding Section 22.013 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Sec. 22.013. INFORMATION REGARDING EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. (a) |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Each school year, a school district shall provide to district |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | employees, employees who retired from the district, and their |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | families information regarding the employee's benefits, including |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the employee's insurance, retirement, and death benefits. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (b) A school district may provide the information required |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | by Subsection (a) through an annual presentation given at the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | district. A district may contract with a human resources |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | representative to provide the presentation. |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2025-2026 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | school year. |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
