| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 37.105, Education Code, is amended by | |
| 12 | 12 | adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (a-1) A verbal warning and persisting in inappropriate | |
| 14 | 14 | behavior are not required under Subsections (a)(2)(A) and (B) for a | |
| 15 | 15 | person serving as a referee, judge, or other official of an | |
| 16 | 16 | extracurricular athletic activity or competition sponsored or | |
| 17 | 17 | sanctioned by the school district or the University Interscholastic | |
| 18 | 18 | League to eject a spectator from the extracurricular athletic | |
| 19 | 19 | activity or competition. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2025-2026 | |
| 21 | 21 | school year. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 23 | 23 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 24 | 24 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 25 | 25 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 26 | 26 | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
