| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 775.0345(i), Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 12 | 12 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | Sec. 775.0345 (i). The board shall hold the general | |
| 14 | 14 | election for the appropriate number of commissionersevery two | |
| 15 | 15 | years on an authorized uniform election date as provided by Chapter | |
| 16 | 16 | 41, Election Codein each even-numbered year on the November | |
| 17 | 17 | uniform election date under Section 41.0001, Election Code. The | |
| 18 | 18 | board may change the election date from one authorized election | |
| 19 | 19 | date to another authorized election date and shall adjust the terms | |
| 20 | 20 | of office to conform to the new election date. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
