| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Sections 152.1771(a), (b), and (f), Human |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Resources Code, are amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (a) The Moore County Juvenile Board is composed of: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (1) the county judge; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (2) the judge of the County Court at Law of Moore |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | County; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (3) not fewer than three or more than five other |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | members [(2) six persons] appointed by the Moore County |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Commissioners Court. |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (b) The appointed members serve [staggered] two-year terms |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | [with the terms of three members] expiring on December 31 of each |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | even-numbered year unless the Moore County Commissioners Court |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | votes to extend a member's term for not more than two years[, and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | the terms of three members expiring on December 31 of each |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | odd-numbered year]. |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (f) Sections 152.0002, 152.0003, 152.0004, 152.0005, and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | 152.0006[, 152.0007, and 152.0008] do not apply to the juvenile |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | board of Moore County. |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
