| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | is amended by adding Sections 225.243, 225.244, and 225.245 to read |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Sec. 225.243. PETTY OFFICER BILLY MACHEN BRIDGE. (a) The |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Farm-to-Market Road 852 bridge crossing Lake Gilmer in Upshur |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | County is designated as the Petty Officer Billy Machen Bridge. The |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | designation is in addition to any other designation. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | designation as the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Petty Officer Billy Machen Bridge and any other |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the bridge. |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Sec. 225.244. MOLLY MULLENS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. (a) The |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | portion of U.S. Highway 287 in Wilbarger County between its |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | intersection with County Road 111 and County Road 132 East is |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | designated as the Molly Mullens Memorial Highway. The designation |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | is in addition to any other designation. |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | designation as the Molly Mullens Memorial Highway and any other |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | appropriate information; and |
|---|

| 37 | 37 | | HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of State Highway 302 in Ector County |

| 38 | 38 | | between its intersection with Farm-to-Market Road 2019 and the |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | Ector-Winkler County line is designated as the Trooper Kevin |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | Ramirez Vasquez Memorial Highway. |

| 41 | 41 | | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | (1) design and construct markers indicating the |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | designation as the Trooper Kevin Ramirez Vasquez Memorial Highway |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | and any other appropriate information; and |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at |
|---|
| 46 | 46 | | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | SECTION 2. It is the intent of the 89th Legislature, Regular |
|---|
| 48 | 48 | | Session, 2025, that the provisions added by this Act be renumbered |
|---|
| 49 | 49 | | to prevent multiple provisions with the same designation. |
|---|
| 50 | 50 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
