77 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
88 AN ACT
99 relating to the dissolution of the Tarrant County Municipal Utility
1010 District No. 2.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. (a) The directors of the Tarrant County
1313 Municipal Utility District No. 2 shall wind up the affairs of the
1414 district, including the filing of any dissolution documents with
1515 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
1616 (b) On the 60th day after the effective date of this Act:
1717 (1) the Tarrant County Municipal Utility District No.
1818 2 is dissolved; and
1919 (2) the terms of the directors of the district expire.
2020 SECTION 2. Effective on the 61st day after the effective
2121 date of this Act, Chapter 8092, Special District Local Laws Code, is
2222 repealed.
2323 SECTION 3. (a) The legal notice of the intention to
2424 introduce this Act, setting forth the general substance of this
2525 Act, has been published as provided by law, and the notice and a
2626 copy of this Act have been furnished to all persons, agencies,
2727 officials, or entities to which they are required to be furnished
2828 under Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, and Chapter 313,
2929 Government Code.
3030 (b) The governor, one of the required recipients, has
3131 submitted the notice and Act to the Texas Commission on
3232 Environmental Quality.
3333 (c) The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has filed
3434 its recommendations relating to this Act with the governor, the
3535 lieutenant governor, and the speaker of the house of
3636 representatives within the required time.
3737 (d) All requirements of the constitution and laws of this
3838 state and the rules and procedures of the legislature with respect
3939 to the notice, introduction, and passage of this Act are fulfilled
4040 and accomplished.
4141 SECTION 4. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
4242 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
4343 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
4444 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
4545 Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
