| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 84.011(b), Election Code, is amended to | |
| 13 | 13 | read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (b) The officially prescribed application form for an early | |
| 15 | 15 | voting ballot to be voted by mail must be: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) at least eight inches by nine inches in size; | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) [and be] printed in at least 12-point [six-point] | |
| 18 | 18 | type; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (3) printed in black text on a white background. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. Section 86.002, Election Code, is amended by | |
| 21 | 21 | adding Subsection (j) to read as follows: | |
| 22 | 22 | (j) The balloting materials, including the instructions | |
| 23 | 23 | under Subsection (d), must be printed: | |
| 24 | 24 | (1) in at least 12-point type; and | |
| 25 | 25 | (2) in black text on a white background. | |
| 26 | 26 | SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to | |
| 27 | 27 | an election ordered on or after the effective date of this Act. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
