| 12 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Section 754.015(e), Health and Safety Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | (e) The commission by rule may require or permit inspection |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | reports, other documents, and fees to be filed in a manner |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | prescribed by the department, including electronically. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | SECTION 2. Section 754.019(c), Health and Safety Code, is |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (c) For the purpose of determining timely filing under |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Subsection (a)(3) and Section 754.016(b), an inspection report and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | filing fees are considered filed on the earlier of: |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (1) the date of personal delivery; |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (2) the date of postmark by United States mail if |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | properly addressed to the executive director; [or] |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | (3) the date of deposit with a commercial courier |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | service, if properly addressed to the executive director; or |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | (4) the date of electronic submission, if filed in an |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | electronic manner prescribed by the department. |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
