88 AN ACT
99 relating to the eligibility of the INDYCAR Grand Prix of Arlington
1010 for funding under the major events reimbursement program.
1111 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1212 SECTION 1. Sections 478.0001(3) and (7), Government Code,
1313 are amended to read as follows:
1414 (3) "Event" means any of the following and includes
1515 any activity related to or associated with the following:
1616 (A) the Academy of Country Music Awards;
1717 (B) the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympic
1818 Games;
1919 (C) the Bassmaster Classic;
2020 (D) a Big 12 Football Conference Championship
2121 game;
2222 (E) the Breeders' Cup World Championships;
2323 (F) the CMT (Country Music Television) Music
2424 Awards;
2525 (G) a game of the College Football Playoff or its
2626 successor;
2727 (H) the Confederation of North, Central America
2828 and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) Gold Cup;
2929 (I) a CONVRG conference;
3030 (J) an Elite Rodeo Association World
3131 Championship;
3232 (K) a Federation Equestre Internationale World
3333 Cup Final;
3434 (L) a Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme
3535 (FIM) World Supercross Championship race;
3636 (M) the Formula One United States Grand Prix;
3737 (M-1) the INDYCAR Grand Prix of Arlington;
3838 (N) the largest event held each year at a sports
3939 entertainment venue in this state with a permanent seating
4040 capacity, including grandstand and premium seating, of at least
4141 125,000 on September 1, 2021;
4242 (O) the Major League Baseball All-Star Game;
4343 (P) the Major League Soccer All-Star Game or the

143143 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
