| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Subchapter J, Chapter 201, Transportation Code, | |
| 14 | 14 | is amended by adding Section 201.813 to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 15 | Sec. 201.813. TOLL-FREE TELEPHONE HOTLINE TO REPORT | |
| 16 | 16 | DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS. (a) The department shall establish and | |
| 17 | 17 | maintain a toll-free telephone service line that enables a person | |
| 18 | 18 | to report dangerous road conditions on a road in the state highway | |
| 19 | 19 | system. | |
| 20 | 20 | (b) The department may contract with any person for the | |
| 21 | 21 | management and operation of the toll-free telephone hotline | |
| 22 | 22 | established under this section. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
