| 13 | 13 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 14 | 14 | SECTION 1. Section 2306.111, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 15 | 15 | adding Subsection (k) to read as follows: | |
| 16 | 16 | (k) Unless required by federal law, the department may not | |
| 17 | 17 | require a recipient of financial assistance administered by the | |
| 18 | 18 | department, including financial assistance from the proceeds of | |
| 19 | 19 | bonds issued by the department, to record in a land use restriction | |
| 20 | 20 | agreement a special needs population tenant admission preference | |
| 21 | 21 | for a development. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
