10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 302, Labor Code, is | |
12 | 12 | amended by adding Section 302.00415 to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | Sec. 302.00415. SUBSIDIZED CHILD CARE PROGRAM: | |
14 | 14 | ELIGIBILITY. (a) A child is eligible for subsidized child care if | |
15 | 15 | the child: | |
16 | 16 | (1) is: | |
17 | 17 | (A) younger than four years of age; and | |
18 | 18 | (B) a member of a household with a total annual | |
19 | 19 | income that is at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty | |
20 | 20 | guidelines; or | |
21 | 21 | (2) meets eligibility requirements established by the | |
22 | 22 | commission. | |
23 | 23 | (b) The commission may adopt rules necessary to administer | |
24 | 24 | this section. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
