| 8 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 391.0117, Local Government Code, is | |
| 9 | 11 | amended by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: | |
| 10 | 12 | (b-1) A commission serving 200 or more participating | |
| 11 | 13 | governmental units may adopt a salary schedule for classified | |
| 12 | 14 | positions as determined by the commission. | |
| 13 | 15 | SECTION 2. This Act applies only to a salary schedule | |
| 14 | 16 | adopted for a fiscal year beginning on or after the effective date | |
| 15 | 17 | of this Act. | |
| 16 | 18 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
