| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 156.001, Occupations Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (d-1) If the license holder supervises or delegates medical |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | acts to any non-physician health care provider, the license holder |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | shall state on the registration renewal application that the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | license holder has provided proper supervision and has properly |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | delegated medical acts: |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (1) generally, for any non-physician health care |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | provider; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | (2) specifically, for any advanced practice |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | registered nurse or physician assistant with whom the license |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | holder has entered into a prescriptive authority agreement under |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Section 157.0512. |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | SECTION 2. Not later than December 1, 2025, the Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Medical Board by rule shall prescribe the method by which a |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | physician who renews the physician's registration permit may make |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | and electronically sign the statement required by Section |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 156.001(d-1), Occupations Code, as added by this Act. |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | SECTION 3. Section 156.001(d-1), Occupations Code, as added |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | by this Act, applies only to an application for renewal of a |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | registration permit submitted on or after January 1, 2026. |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
