| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 181, Health and Safety | |
| 13 | 13 | Code, is amended by adding Section 181.105 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 181.105. REQUIRED INFORMATION REGARDING CONSUMER | |
| 15 | 15 | ACCESS TO HEALTH RECORDS AND COMPLAINTS. A covered entity shall | |
| 16 | 16 | prominently post on the entity's Internet website and at any entity | |
| 17 | 17 | facility detailed instructions for a consumer to: | |
| 18 | 18 | (1) request the consumer's health care records from | |
| 19 | 19 | the entity; | |
| 20 | 20 | (2) contact the disciplinary or licensing authority | |
| 21 | 21 | for the covered entity; and | |
| 22 | 22 | (3) file a consumer complaint as described by Section | |
| 23 | 23 | 181.103. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
