| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 372.053, Transportation Code, is amended | |
| 12 | 12 | by amending Subsection (a-1) and adding Subsection (c) to read as | |
| 13 | 13 | follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a-1) A program established under Subsection (a) must | |
| 15 | 15 | include free or discounted use of the entity's toll project by a | |
| 16 | 16 | vehicle associated with an account of an electronic toll collection | |
| 17 | 17 | customer who is eligible to be issued license plates [whose account | |
| 18 | 18 | relates to a vehicle registered] under Section 504.202 or | |
| 19 | 19 | 504.315(f) or (g). | |
| 20 | 20 | (c) The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles shall: | |
| 21 | 21 | (1) maintain a list of individuals known to that | |
| 22 | 22 | department to be eligible to participate in a toll project entity's | |
| 23 | 23 | discount program under Subsection (a-1); and | |
| 24 | 24 | (2) provide to each toll project entity with a | |
| 25 | 25 | discount program the information necessary for a customer described | |
| 26 | 26 | by Subsection (a-1) to participate in that entity's discount | |
| 27 | 27 | program. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
