8	8	AN ACT
9	9	relating to a semiannual progress report by the commissioner of
10	10	education on the performance of a school district or district
11	11	campus to which a conservator, management team, or board of
12	12	managers has been appointed.
13	13	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
14	14	SECTION 1. Subchapter Z, Chapter 39A, Education Code, is
15	15	amended by adding Section 39A.9011 to read as follows:
16	16	Sec. 39A.9011. SEMIANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON PERFORMANCE OF
17	17	CERTAIN SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND CAMPUSES. The commissioner shall
18	18	semiannually prepare and publish on the agency's Internet website a
19	19	progress report on the performance of a school district or district
20	20	campus to which a conservator, management team, or board of
21	21	managers has been appointed under this chapter. The report must,
22	22	using specific benchmarks and performance metrics, include:
23	23	(1) a summary of the overall performance of the
24	24	district or campus using district-wide data, including the progress
25	25	made by the district or campus in each area of performance
26	26	deficiency for which the district or campus was subject to
27	27	commissioner action under this chapter; and
28	28	(2) a comparison of the current performance of the
29	29	district or campus to the performance of the district or campus
30	30	immediately preceding the appointment of the conservator,
31	31	management team, or board of managers.
32	32	SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
