| 12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Not later than January 1, 2027, the Texas Water | |
| 14 | 14 | Development Board shall: | |
| 15 | 15 | (1) identify and study factors that affect the costs | |
| 16 | 16 | of developing drainage infrastructure in this state; and | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) prepare and submit to the legislature a written | |
| 18 | 18 | report on the relative costs of developing drainage infrastructure | |
| 19 | 19 | in different areas of this state based on the factors identified and | |
| 20 | 20 | studied under Subdivision (1). | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act expires September 1, 2027. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
