11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Chapter 443, Government Code, is amended by | |
13 | 13 | adding Section 443.0205 to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 443.0205. OPERABILITY OF FIRST RESPONDER AND PUBLIC | |
15 | 15 | SAFETY BROADBAND NETWORKS ON CAPITOL GROUNDS. The State | |
16 | 16 | Preservation Board may use any available money to install repeater | |
17 | 17 | systems on the Capitol grounds to enhance the operability of | |
18 | 18 | radios, first responder and public safety broadband networks, and | |
19 | 19 | other communication services on the grounds, including in | |
20 | 20 | elevators, parking garages, the Capitol basement, and the Capitol | |
21 | 21 | extension. | |
22 | 22 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
