| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 259.002, Election Code, is amended by | |
| 13 | 13 | adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (b-1) Except as otherwise provided by this section, a | |
| 15 | 15 | property owners' association may not enforce or adopt a restrictive | |
| 16 | 16 | covenant that prohibits a property owner from displaying on the | |
| 17 | 17 | owner's property at least one sign that contains primarily a | |
| 18 | 18 | political message other than advertising a candidate or measure for | |
| 19 | 19 | an election. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
