| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 1579.155(c), Insurance Code, is amended | |
| 13 | 13 | to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (c) Effective September 1, 2022, an entity that elects to | |
| 15 | 15 | participate in the program shall provide written notice to the | |
| 16 | 16 | trustee not later than December 31 of the year preceding the first | |
| 17 | 17 | day of the plan year in which the election will be effective. [The | |
| 18 | 18 | entity may not elect to discontinue the entity's participation | |
| 19 | 19 | until the fifth anniversary of the effective date of the entity's | |
| 20 | 20 | election to participate.] | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. Section 1579.155(b), Insurance Code, is | |
| 22 | 22 | repealed. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
