| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 502.254(a), Transportation Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) The fee for a registration year for registration of a | |
| 15 | 15 | trailer, travel trailer, or semitrailer with a gross weight of | |
| 16 | 16 | 6,000 pounds or less is $20.00 [$45.00]. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
| 18 | 18 | to the registration of a trailer, travel trailer, or semitrailer | |
| 19 | 19 | that is applied for on or after the effective date of this Act. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
