| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 25.1101(a), Government Code, is amended | |
| 13 | 13 | to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) Hidalgo County has the following statutory county | |
| 15 | 15 | courts: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) County Court at Law No. 1 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 17 | 17 | (2) County Court at Law No. 2 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 18 | 18 | (3) County Court at Law No. 4 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 19 | 19 | (4) County Court at Law No. 5 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 20 | 20 | (5) County Court at Law No. 6 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 21 | 21 | (6) County Court at Law No. 7 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 22 | 22 | (7) County Court at Law No. 8 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 23 | 23 | (8) County Court at Law No. 9 of Hidalgo County; [and] | |
| 24 | 24 | (9) County Court at Law No. 10 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 25 | 25 | (10) County Court at Law No. 11 of Hidalgo County; | |
| 26 | 26 | (11) County Court at Law No. 12 of Hidalgo County; and | |
| 27 | 27 | (12) County Court at Law No. 13 of Hidalgo County. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 2. (a) The County Court at Law No. 11 of Hidalgo | |
| 29 | 29 | County and the County Court at Law No. 13 of Hidalgo County are | |
| 30 | 30 | created on the effective date of this Act. | |
| 31 | 31 | (b) Notwithstanding Section 25.1101(a), Government Code, as | |
| 32 | 32 | amended by this Act, the County Court at Law No. 12 of Hidalgo | |
| 33 | 33 | County is created September 1, 2026. | |
| 34 | 34 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
