| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 25.1031(a), Government Code, is amended | |
| 13 | 13 | to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) Harris County has the following county civil courts at | |
| 15 | 15 | law: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) County Civil Court at Law No. 1 of Harris County, | |
| 17 | 17 | Texas; | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) County Civil Court at Law No. 2 of Harris County, | |
| 19 | 19 | Texas; | |
| 20 | 20 | (3) County Civil Court at Law No. 3 of Harris County, | |
| 21 | 21 | Texas; [and] | |
| 22 | 22 | (4) County Civil Court at Law No. 4 of Harris County, | |
| 23 | 23 | Texas; and | |
| 24 | 24 | (5) County Civil Court at Law No. 5 of Harris County, | |
| 25 | 25 | Texas. | |
| 26 | 26 | SECTION 2. The County Civil Court at Law No. 5 of Harris | |
| 27 | 27 | County is created on the effective date of this Act. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
