| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 31, Election Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 83.0301 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 83.0301. APPLICABILITY OF SUBCHAPTER. A person may | |
| 15 | 15 | not be appointed as a deputy early voting clerk under this | |
| 16 | 16 | subchapter for a primary election or a general election for state | |
| 17 | 17 | and county officers. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. Section 85.0091(b), Election Code, is repealed. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to | |
| 20 | 20 | an election ordered on or after the effective date of this Act. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
