| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 32.024, Human Resources Code, is amended | |
| 13 | 13 | by adding Subsection (oo-1) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (oo-1) The commission shall provide medical assistance | |
| 15 | 15 | reimbursement to a health care provider who delivers services | |
| 16 | 16 | classified as multisystemic therapy by the Healthcare Common | |
| 17 | 17 | Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code to a recipient under the | |
| 18 | 18 | medical assistance program. The executive commissioner shall | |
| 19 | 19 | establish a separate provider type for multisystemic therapy | |
| 20 | 20 | providers for purposes of enrollment as a provider for and | |
| 21 | 21 | reimbursement under the medical assistance program. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. If before implementing any provision of this Act | |
| 23 | 23 | a state agency determines that a waiver or authorization from a | |
| 24 | 24 | federal agency is necessary for implementation of that provision, | |
| 25 | 25 | the agency affected by the provision shall request the waiver or | |
| 26 | 26 | authorization and may delay implementing that provision until the | |
| 27 | 27 | waiver or authorization is granted. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
