11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. The heading to Section 521.348, Transportation | |
13 | 13 | Code, is amended to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 521.348. AUTOMATIC REVOCATION FOR CERTAIN SEX | |
15 | 15 | OFFENDERS AND TERRORISTS. | |
16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Section 521.348(a), Transportation Code, is | |
17 | 17 | amended to read as follows: | |
18 | 18 | (a) A driver's license is automatically revoked if the | |
19 | 19 | holder of the license: | |
20 | 20 | (1) is subject to the registration requirements of | |
21 | 21 | Chapter 62 or 65, Code of Criminal Procedure; and | |
22 | 22 | (2) fails to apply to the department for renewal of the | |
23 | 23 | license as required by Article 62.060, [or] 62.2021, or 65.058, | |
24 | 24 | Code of Criminal Procedure, as applicable. | |
25 | 25 | SECTION 3. The following provisions of the Transportation | |
26 | 26 | Code are repealed: | |
27 | 27 | (1) Section 521.297(b); and | |
28 | 28 | (2) Section 522.087(b). | |
29 | 29 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
