68 relating to civil liability of property owners relating to
79 motorcycle training courses.
810 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
911 SECTION 1. Chapter 662, Transportation Code, is amended by
1012 adding Section 662.014 to read as follows:
1113 Sec. 662.014. LIMITATION ON LIABILITY FOR PROPERTY OWNERS.
1214 (a) An owner of property on which instruction on motorcycle
1315 operation and safety by an instructor or an instructor training
1416 course takes place is not liable for any act or omission that occurs
1517 during the course.
1618 (b) Subsection (a) does not apply to a cause of action
1719 arising from an act or omission constituting gross negligence,
1820 recklessness, or intentional misconduct.
1921 SECTION 2. Section 662.014, Transportation Code, as added
2022 by this Act, applies only to a cause of action that accrues on or
2123 after the effective date of this Act.
2224 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
