| 8 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 11 | | SECTION 1. (a) State representative districts 45 and 73, as |
|---|
| 10 | 12 | | established by Chapter 1, Acts of the 87th Legislature, 3rd Called |
|---|
| 11 | 13 | | Session, 2021, are modified by transferring blocks 1000, 1001, |
|---|
| 12 | 14 | | 1002, and 1003 of Hays County tract 010816 from district 45 to |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | district 73. |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | (b) In this section, "block" and "tract" have the meanings |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | assigned by Section 1, Article III, Chapter 1, Acts of the 87th |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | Legislature, 3rd Called Session, 2021. |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | SECTION 2. The changes to the districts described by |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | Section 1 of this Act apply to the election of the members of the |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | Texas House of Representatives beginning with the primary and |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | general elections in 2026 for members of the 90th Legislature. This |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | Act does not affect the membership or districts of the House of |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature. |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 25 | 27 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 26 | 28 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 27 | 29 | | Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the |
|---|
| 28 | 30 | | legislative session. |
