11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
12 | 12 | SECTION 1. The heading to Section 551.050, Government Code, | |
13 | 13 | is amended to read as follows: | |
14 | 14 | Sec. 551.050. [MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENTAL BODY:] PLACE AND | |
15 | 15 | MEANS OF POSTING NOTICE. | |
16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Section 551.050, Government Code, is amended by | |
17 | 17 | adding Subsections (c) and (d) to read as follows: | |
18 | 18 | (c) The validity of a notice posted on an electronic | |
19 | 19 | bulletin board by a governmental body that made a good faith attempt | |
20 | 20 | to comply with the requirements of Section 551.043 is not affected | |
21 | 21 | by a failure to comply with a requirement of this section due to a | |
22 | 22 | technical problem beyond the governmental body's control. | |
23 | 23 | (d) If another law requires a governmental body to post | |
24 | 24 | notice on a bulletin board, the governmental body may comply with | |
25 | 25 | that law through the use of an electronic bulletin board. | |
26 | 26 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
