| 9 | 9 | | relating to certain duties of the Texas Workforce Commission with |

| 10 | 10 | | respect to child-care resources. |

| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 302, Labor Code, is |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | amended by adding Section 302.0064 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Sec. 302.0064. CHILD-CARE RESOURCES FOR EMPLOYERS. (a) |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | The commission shall maintain in a prominent location on its |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Internet website a link to a web page consisting of comprehensive |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and current information to help employers assist employees who are |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | parents with accessing child care, including information on: |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | (1) child-care assistance; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | (2) best practices for assisting employees who are |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | parents; |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | (3) any available state and federal tax credits; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | (4) dependent care savings accounts; |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | (5) any available free tools or templates; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | (6) policies and benefits an employer may adopt to |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | assist employees in accessing child care; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (7) other resources related to child care that the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | commission considers relevant. |

| 29 | 29 | | (b) The web page described by Subsection (a) must include an |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | explanation that: |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | (1) the commission does not and may not provide legal |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | advice; and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | (2) an employer is not required to implement any |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | employment policy or benefit included on the web page unless |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | required by other law. |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | SECTION 2. Not later than February 1, 2026, the Texas |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | Workforce Commission shall post on its Internet website the |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | information required by Section 302.0064, Labor Code, as added by |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | this Act. |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
