| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 12, Education Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 12.1212 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 12.1212. DISCLOSURE OF MANAGEMENT COMPANY | |
| 15 | 15 | INFORMATION. (a) An open-enrollment charter school that contracts | |
| 16 | 16 | with a management company to provide management services for the | |
| 17 | 17 | school must post in a prominent location on the school's Internet | |
| 18 | 18 | website home page: | |
| 19 | 19 | (1) the management company's name and principal place | |
| 20 | 20 | of business; or | |
| 21 | 21 | (2) a link through which a person may request the | |
| 22 | 22 | management company's name and principal place of business. | |
| 23 | 23 | (b) An open-enrollment charter school described by | |
| 24 | 24 | Subsection (a) shall promptly provide to a person who submits a | |
| 25 | 25 | request under Subsection (a)(2) the name and principal place of | |
| 26 | 26 | business of the school's management company. | |
| 27 | 27 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
