| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 505.354, Occupations Code, is amended by | |
| 13 | 13 | adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (f) An applicant who pays an application or examination fee | |
| 15 | 15 | to take an examination under this chapter is not required to pay an | |
| 16 | 16 | additional application or examination fee to retake the | |
| 17 | 17 | examination. The applicant may retake the examination as many | |
| 18 | 18 | times as necessary to pass the examination. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Section 505.354(f), Occupations Code, as added | |
| 20 | 20 | by this Act, applies to an applicant for a license under Chapter | |
| 21 | 21 | 505, Occupations Code, who takes an examination under that chapter | |
| 22 | 22 | on or after the effective date of this Act. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
